The book I'am reading is "Full Moon Horror" by Jason Strange this book is about when 4 friends went on a road trip and when they were coming back home they were out of gas. Nelson, Zeek and Jack. Jack's brother took him and his friends to a road trip and they ran out of gas a Ravens Pass. So Garry goes and get gas from the gas station 1.2 miles up a head and the others were waiting in the car and it was hot in there. So, they get it out and as they get out and start walking it starts to poor rain and they see a bridge and they go under it. After that they meet this guy his name is Caleb and he loves the full moon. They get in a circle and they talk about the Werewolf's and the moon after that they noticed the Caleb disappeared and he came back but, in werewolf form when Garry comes back they put in the gas and then they leave and get away from him.

My reflection on this book is great because there is Caleb who is weird and the others notice it and how he talks about the full moon. After they all turn away he runs and forms into the werewolf and then he comes back to them but, not in human form but werewolf. One part I would change is when Caleb runs and turns into the werewolf I think he could of taken them into his house and then he could of transform into the werewolf and could of eaten them. Thats what I think should of happen in the story. I really like this author because he only writes scary stories and he makes them interesting. Jason should keep writing scary stories like this one and the others I read during this year I really like them and so will other people.

William proved to be a valuable commodity, but not Arthur. Coach Pingatore himself found funding fro William. Patricia paid for his tuition but not only that she proved a good paying summer job. But, to Arthur he did not get any funding and they locked him out of St. Joseph High School and addition the coach did not consider him at star material and that angered his parents and and delivered a huge blow to his self esteem. Later on William and Arthur were choosing college Arthur did not take all the right courses to take the ACT to go to Division 1 High School. Arthur had to go to Junior college in southern Missouri while William goes to a better college. Patricia gave William a tuition free ACT prep class to get all the required 18 on the ACT and got a scholarship to Marquette University.

My reflection on "Hoop Dreams" its inspiring to others because the characters have a dream and they want to achieve it so they practice and practice till they get better and even better. Who ever reads this they are gonna want to do a sport and never stop practicing After I read this book I played soccer way better because I believed in my self that can I do it. One time I wanted to do a soccer trick and I ended p failing but, now I know how to do it and I mastered it. Since Arthur and William were little kids they wanted to play in the NBA but they knew what they had to go through first is school, college and other thing and then play in a league. I really loved this book and so will you:).

The conflict of this book is about Arthur not going to the school that he wanted because of his ACT scores and did not took the right classes from them. I know this because it sates it int eh article, "Arthur did not take all the right courses to take the ACT to go to Division 1 High School." In addition it also states that, "Arthur had to go to Junior college in southern Missouri while William goes to a better college." This proves that the school was being more concern on William because he plays better and goes the school that Arthur wanted to go.

After they recruited Agee and William they meet and became good fiends but, William recognized Agee because they went to grade school together. William was the best player there and Agee was not so all the money and attention was focused on the best player which was William. As a result of William being the best player he was booted out of  the team and was sent home. So then he realized that his dreams of going to the NBA was slipping away and he couldn't keep his grades up. William and his team finished in third and he ended up going to junior collage after his two years in Mississippi he was given a scholarship to Arkansas State. Even though you don't get what you want there is still something out there for you.

Agee is determined man and he will succeed I know this because it states in the book that, " Agee was playing against three guys that were years older than he was and he was still the best in the neighborhood."This proves that Agee was not going to be turned down by theses three guys just because they challenged him and were older than he was. Williams trait is Kind, determined because according to the text it says that, he was training hard and more than Agee and he was not a bad sport when they lost a game he always says good game even though they lost and all.

The book that im reading is Hoop Dreams its about to fourteen year old's named Arthur Agee and William Gates they love basketball very much. Agee and Gates are both from poor African-American neighborhoods in Chicago, Illinois. They were playing ball in the playground and then some scout recruited them into St. Josephs High School. They both live in West Garfield Park, Agee was challenged by these three guys they were much older than Agee they saw how he played and they thought they could win but, Agee was the best in the neighborhood. But, his family was not that supportive because they were on cocaine.

My connection to this story is about a time were I lived in Logan Square Chicago, Illinois it was horrible because of the people who lived there. But, one day I was playing soccer and they were talking to my parents about how I played and If i wanted to be on a team but we did not have the money for the uniform and to pay for the season. The guy told my parents that we could pay for everything including the shoes if he plays and does not miss more than two games. My parents asked me "Do you want to?" Is said "YEAH!!" so they signed the contract. After that my uncles and aunts came and my mom told them the news about be going to a soccer team, they congratulated me and stuff. But they told you going to every game because this is one and the only opportunity son.

As you many know the book I'm reading is called Ghost of J. Stokely and the main characters si Jared and his brother and father. The author mostly talks about how the cabin was burning down when Jared and his brother walked up the hill. The cabin was burning down when Jared, his brother and father got there, they got closer and heard the wood and logs falling down. They were in the woods setting up their tents and his brother heard something Jared brother something coming from the lakeshore I know this because the author clearly states in the book that, "Then the noise came again. It sounded like it was coming from the path that led to the lakeshore." After they hear those noise they go and check what it was but don't find nothing.

My reflection on my book Ghost of J. Stokely is great! I would like to adjust the writing in the story because I kinda don't like how its written. I like the main character Jared because he is careless I can relate to my cousin because he just does not care about anything. I like when they found the cabin on fire and when the clerk told Jared "Don't go to the cabin" and that made me keep on reading because I wanted to see what would happen once they go and see. The writer should've added more conflict or like action in the book not just the cabin on fire.

The book I read was "The Ghost Of J. Stokely" the main character in this story if Jared. Him and his brother and father were going on a camping trip. At the beginning there is a clerk and he is wired he tells Jared "don't go there don't go." But, as you may know these teenagers like Jared did not pay any attention to the clerk in the store they just ignored him. After the store and the clerk speaking to them they found more people saying " Don't Go Over There." they ignored that too because it was their summer to be free and do what ever. Jared and his brother ad his father been planning this day since they after they were on vacation from school after the time it took they finally got there.

Jared would be described as non caring person because when they were going on the camping trip he ignored the old man and the store clerk. I know this because in the book it states that,  "Don't go there don't go." says the store clerk. After a few minutes later they see a old ma walking and he says "Don't go to the cabin up ahead." but Jared just ignores it because he's been planning it for a long time with his father. As you can see from this information Jared is a non caring person but he is going to suffer the consequences. In my opinion Jared should really start to care what these people are telling him, he should really pay attention to the people around him saying "Don't go."

Summary and Reading Strategy#7

The book I'm reading is little lighting its about these little noms that come to life and they think the humans are a threat to there people. Marry and Isabel are the main characters in the story Marry is the one that find them but does not give there secret away Isabel does not know about he noms that are a life. The noms had powers when they were struck by a lighting and they have lighting powers to burn down stuff. They burned down Isabel's horse house because they thought Marry told her about them being alive Isabel's horse was full of fear you can see it in his eyes. I know thus because it says in the book on page 20 paragraph 2 last sentence that, "Red Delicious was snorting and bucking and his eyes full of fear." This clearly states that the noms did it because there was not lighting storm and rain from the sky.

I had a connection with story because one day I saw a house burned down in Chicago they had gas in the house and the stove was left on and I hear a big boom and ran outside and the house on fire. The whole family got out except for the dog he was trapped in the room because they closed the door and they were all crying. I tread up a little because it was a horrible thing to watch a house getting burned because of a stove being left on. I wanted to let them stay at my house but my mom said "No" because we do not know them. I feel the same way as they did because I would lose everything my PS3, bed, room, pictures and other valuables.

Summary and Reading Strategy#6

The whole book was amazing like you would want to read it it would take you to the place you have never been be for the camps. The book would give you chills and goosebumps it sad at he same time Jack gets split up with his family through the whole book. But, Jack manages to stay alive without them he thinks to him self "Are my parents still alive?" He would do anything to get his reunited with his family again and stay safe like before. He would obey Hitlers commands and the guards as well because he doe not want to die. You would just have to find out what happens in the book your self.

My reflection on "Boy in a Death Camp" its really sad, and tells you a lot about what happened back in the past when Hitler was at power. Jack makes it through everything thin and thick he follows the rules and does his work when he is asked. I would recommend this book to other because the book would teach them about how it felt in the camps I know this because it states in the book clearly, "Its dark, gloomy and it really hot because of the sun its right in the middle of the sky." Many other would like to read this book I enjoyed it and so will you. You can read it at Goodreads.com

Summary and Reading Strategy#5

Jack was sent far away from his family and he wished that he would see them one last time. They
would get up and would work and work until they get blisters some would pop and salty water would come out. They would have to put there uniform on every morning at 5 am he was tired like his arms were sore of working. They would build barracks for other jews or if they do not fit they would make more. They would work at sunrise until sunset they need to work for 8 hours a day and finish before sunset.
My character traits for Jack are brave, and strong through the horrible times he was split up with his family. He is kind because he never gave anyone a hard time he did all the rules they gave him and everything really good. I know this because it clearly states in the book " Jack will do anything to protect his family no matter what." Another reason is because "Even if all of family dies I will be the one who will live." This proves that he is brave, kind and courages he would do anything to keep his family safe.

Summary and Reading Strategy#4

Summary:
Jack heres rumbles of trucks squeaky wheels and a loud engine he look at the window and sees soldiers knock on his door. Jack and his family awaken by the ponding on the door they are all scared they open the door and the soldiers just come barging in. They Scream "All the JEWS come out NOW!! They came and they were sent on different buses/trucks to the camps they all went to different camps. Jack was worried that he will never see his family ever again and he was sent to a far  away camp.

Reading Strategy:
My connection with this book is the the slavery and at the time when Martin Luther King Jr he fought against segregation for the people. We learned this in the second quarter we read a book it was called "Rolling Thunder Hear My Cry." It also involves the KKK, this group is a white people who hate the blacks and they would do anything to get rid like in the Boy in The Death Camps my book. Hitler wants to get rid of all the Jews.

Summary and Reading Strategy#3

Summary:
Jack and his mother and two sisters have arrived to where the dad has sent them. They got there safe and no one said anything. They squeezed into there dads uncles family they had five children and three more came a long and those are Jack her two sisters and his mother. They ate a few things the uncle would keep the food under lock and key so the two kids would go to a farmer gave them buttermilk and some bread. When it was time for dinner they had there portion and if they were still hungry they had to go to bed with  and empty stomach. But, after all of that the Nazis came and inspected the house and found them in the dining room, thats where they took him and kept Jack.

Reading Strategy:
Jack made good friends in the camps and they also gave him some good advice. They helped him stay alive they don't treat him bad they treat him like family. They took his mom to a different camp far away from him he was in tears most of the time while in the camp. He only worked and work and work and cried most the time in there. They fed him every day but not a meal that he would like to eat, they gave him horrible food just so he would eat it or would not. The Nazis did not want the Jews to stay alive so they feed them that.

Summary and Reading Strategy #2

Summary:
Jacks father sent him and his family to somewhere out of the country. Jacks father settled them into a first class compartment on the train Jack, Mama and his siblings only carried on suitcase. Mamma would carry one full basket of foods, fruits for the 12 hour drive/trip.  Jacks father will send money, clothing and necessary things they might need. Jacks father will see them all in one month he kissed them all on the cheek and then the engine started the train was leaving.

Reading Strategy:
One connection I have with this story is that we went to the Holocaust Museum. We learned it for like 3 weeks we read articles on it, books. One of the books we read was "Number The Stars" it was a really good book. And also with slavery, the whites would make the black pick there cotton and other farming jobs. They would be paid in clothes or food but no money the blacks were not educated and did not know what was happening.

Summary of my book and reading strategy

Summary:
My book is about a boy named Jack and he was a survivor in the holocaust. It took place in Gdynia, Poland a population of 250,000, 90% was Catholic and 10% was Jewish. After the fled Poland they were taken back Germany after that, they rounded Jacks family up. He was only 15 years old and he was torn away from his family and thrown in a concentration camp. Jack plays by the game and trying to survive, all he wants is to see his family one more time.

Reading Strategy:
The conflict of this book is that a normal kid named Jack he was torn away from his parents when he was only 14. They took him in a death camp he was in there for over a year he celebrated his birthday in these terrible death camps. But the good thing is that he surrvied for year because, he followed the rules and jobs they gave him. He never disobeyed his leader because he knew what would happened because he saw people go in and get killed.
